Bubba Watson secured his second PGA Tour title of 2011 after beating Webb Simpson in a play-off at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Simpson had led by three shots with seven to play but suffered a penalty stroke at 15 when his ball moved as he went to tap in for par. Both players parred the last 3 holes meaning they each signed for 69s to finish two shots clear of the field at 15 under par. They played the 18th again as the first extra hole, tying with birdies, then it was Watson's birdie when they played the hole again that secured the title. Watson moves up to World Number 10 and becomes the 79th player in the history of the Ranking to achieve Top 10 status.

Nadia Comaneci Romanian gymnast

Nadia Comaneci Gymnastics Accomplishments:
Nadia Comaneci was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10.0 in the Olympics. She did it at the 1976 Games, and then went on to score six more 10.0s and win three gold medals.
Comaneci was also the first Romanian gymnast to win the all-around title at the Olympics, and is the youngest ever all-around champion.

Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1993, and has twice (1984, 2004) received the Olympic Order, the most prestigious award given by the International Olympic Committee. In 1999, ABC News and Ladies Home Journal named her as one of the 100 Most Important Women of the 20th Century.

Best Tennis player women 2011

   It was the first meeting between world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki and Bojana Jovanovski, and even though the young Serbian star provided resistance, it was the favorite Wozniacki that advanced to the third round of the Madrid Open with a 6-4 6-4 victory.

Jovanovski was the first to take lead, 3-1 in the first set, but Wozniacki answered with two breaks in that set and three in the second set. The Dane saved eight of the 11 break points she faced.
